We make YouTubePilot, so read this with that in mind. What we say about NexLev comes from public information and from creator reviews on Reddit and Trustpilot that we read in October 2026. Plans and features change; check their site for the current version.
What NexLev is good at
NexLev is aimed at faceless and automation creators. Its main draw is niche finding: searching a large database of channels for niches with momentum. It also has outlier search, a browser extension, training, and an API. Creators in faceless communities often name it as their go-to for picking a niche.
Why creators look for an alternative
- Price. Reddit threads from 2024 and 2025 show users trying to group-buy its lifetime niche finder because of the cost.
- Niche found, now what? A niche finder helps you choose a niche. It doesn't tell you what to make in week six.
- Niches die. Some operators describe a niche working for a few months, then fading or getting demonetized. They need to see changes early.
- Originality. Since July 2025, YouTube's rules on "inauthentic", mass-produced content have hit faceless channels that copy what works.
How YouTubePilot is different
- Weekly, not one-off. It follows the channels in your niche and updates weekly, daily or every 6 hours, depending on your plan.
- It reads the scripts. For a faceless channel the script is most of the video. YouTubePilot reads each competitor transcript, so you see the structure and the claims, not just the title.
- Gaps, not copies. It shows what competitors cover that you don't, and what they left open, so your video adds something new.
- Research only. It doesn't make or upload videos, and never connects to your YouTube account.

What weekly tracking looks like
Say you run a faceless history channel and follow five channels in the niche. Each week YouTubePilot shows which of their new uploads beat their normal, what those scripts covered, and which topics came up that you haven't made. If breakouts in the niche dry up for weeks, you see it in the Overview before your own views tell you. If a new format starts working on two channels, it shows up in Ideas with the videos attached.
When to use which
If you don't have a niche yet, a niche finder like NexLev is the right first tool. YouTubePilot can't scan millions of channels for you.
Once you have a niche, or a shortlist, YouTubePilot is the weekly tool: which videos broke out, what they said, and which topics are still open. See niche finder guide and faceless YouTube channel ideas for how that works.
