We make YouTubePilot, so read this with that in mind. What we say about 1of10 comes from public information and from creator reviews on Reddit and Trustpilot that we read in October 2026. Plans and features change; check their site for the current version.
What 1of10 is good at
1of10 is a research tool built around outliers: videos that did far better than their channel's normal. You can search a large database of them by topic and filter by format. Creators praise it for brainstorming and for seeing what is working right now. Its thumbnail tools get good reviews too.
On its pricing page (read October 3, 2026), 1of10 lists a free plan with 60 credits, Basic at $19 a month ($15 a month yearly), and Pro at $89 a month ($69 a month yearly).
Why creators look for an alternative
- Search accuracy. Some users said results were hit or miss for their topic.
- Outliers from outside the niche. A video that broke out for another audience may not work for yours.
- Copying outliers can flop. Several creators said ideas copied from outlier tools didn't perform.
- Price. Some reviewers felt the Pro plan was expensive for a small channel.
How YouTubePilot is different
- Your niche only. YouTubePilot follows the 3 to 25 channels you pick, so every outlier comes from your viewers' world.
- It reads the transcripts. You see what each video said, not just its title and thumbnail.
- It knows your channel. Ideas and gaps account for what you've already made and how it did.
- Pattern over luck. An idea is rated high confidence only with a 2× or bigger outlier or over-performance on two or more channels.
- Fixed limits. Plans have set numbers of competitors, videos and questions, not credits.
Three Nate Herk tests reached 2.0× to 4.6× his usual views, while Matthew Berman's Sonnet 5.5 review reached 1.5×. The model-comparison format is over-performing on two channels.

Using both
A common setup: YouTubePilot tells you the topic, and an outlier database helps with the package. You find a gap your competitors haven't covered, check that the topic broke out on two channels in your niche, and read what they said. Then you search wider for titles and thumbnails that worked on similar topics elsewhere. Topic from your niche, packaging from anywhere.
When to use which
Use 1of10 when you want wide inspiration: formats and packaging from anywhere on YouTube. Use YouTubePilot when you want to know what your direct competitors are doing this week, what they said, and what you haven't covered. Some creators use an outlier database for packaging and a niche tool for topics.
